Accountabilities

At Lab everyone has a few things that they are accountable for. These are things that your colleagues count on you to do. For your role as a maternity cover, these are:


  • Financial stability

    • Providing accurate guidance and review of monthly management accounts 

    • Manage and oversee the preparation of year end financial statements

    • Ensure cash stability

    • Client financial health monitoring

    • Drive process consistency across the Group structure

    • Assist Finance Manager with the development of reporting

  • Financial security & compliance

    • Legal documentation compliance

    • Maintain good external financial relationships

    • Ensure setup and maintenance of contract management

  • Driving growth

    • Complete integration of recent acquisition 

    • Support where required in terms of acquisition strategy and implementation

    • Drive profitability through, project and team monitoring and cost control

    • Assist with the launch of the new CRM system

  • Team development 

    • Line management of Finance Manager

    • Support to all members of the finance team

    • Ensure finance team is resourced as needed based on growth strategy.

 

Success looks like…

A relationship based on trust with the CEO & General Manager, so that they can step away from the detail but still feel fully briefed. Month end closing regularly by day 7. Reporting that gives real insight. Minimal aged debt. People in the business confident of reaching out to the FC on any financial question. Revenue booked up 110%, 100%, 75%, 50% on future months. Consistency in process.
