Creative Spotlight: Telling Hope for Children’s story in an elegant way
Hope for Children is an international charity that passionately believes every child has the right to a happy, healthy and positive childhood.
Since being founded in 1994, Hope for Children have improved children’s access to education and healthcare, while empowering their families to support themselves by developing their confidence and self-esteem and, most importantly, giving them hope.
Creating a compelling brand identity
As an innovative digital creative agency, Lab was tasked with designing a modern and responsive website for Hope for Children that competed with other charities.
In the initial stage of the project, we created new brand guidelines to provide a more elegant and compelling way to tell Hope for Children’s story.
Lab’s Creative Director Tom O’Connor, responsible for the creative parts of the projects says “Hope for children are a fantastically forward thinking brand who do some amazingly innovative work across the globe. In order for them to attract more substantial or regular donations or partnerships, to help even more families, we helped them develop not only their visual identity but their brand and project storytelling too."
The visual identity was tweaked to appear more contemporary and approachable. Tom O’Connor explains, "Hope for Children already had some incredibly compelling content - so it was a simple case of lifting that content above the noise and communicating it in an elegant and emotionally engaging way."
Next steps
The first set of designs has now been created, following a persona workshop where we identified each of the user groups and penned messaging that personally engages with each.
