LAB Group’s CEO, Jonny Tooze and Chief Growth Officer, Harpreet Bushell have both been featured in this year’s BIMA 100, the list of the most influential people in UK digital and tech.

 

Winners of the accolade were announced at a virtual gathering.

 

Tooze was featured in the CEO & Leaders category of the BIMA 100, which celebrates people whose outstanding leadership within an organisation has created an environment where their people feel genuinely supported and able to excel at work and where the company has made a significant step change. It is the sixth time he has been included in the list.

 

Bushell, who recently joined LAB Group from digital agency Valtech and is a member of the BIMA Inclusion & Diversity Council, was named in the Client Services and Project Management category, which recognises people whose energy and ideas have led to new and different ways of working with clients or suppliers, delivering profitable growth for both parties. It is the first time she has been featured.

 

Tooze’s entry into the BIMA 100 was supported by Diane Young, Co-Founder and CEO of The Drum, who wrote: “Jonny Tooze is a breath of fresh air and a bundle of energy. His enthusiasm for all things digital and for bringing new approaches to running an agency is infectious. He’s built an excellent business and continues to push the boundaries with a recent acquisition. Under Jonny’s guidance, LAB has become one of the foremost independent digital agencies in the UK.”

 

Bushell’s nomination was endorsed by Jenny Eddleston, UK Director of Partners and Alliances at Sitecore, who said: “Harpreet is a force of nature. Her sharp intellect and drive have proved a formidable business enabler and invaluable for our mutual success.”

 

The accolades follow a year which has seen Tooze and his leadership team take the LAB business to the next level. In September, LAB announced the formation of a new group structure and the acquisition of digital marketing agency Reflect Digital, as part of LAB’s ambition to bring together a number of different marketing businesses in order to build scale and offer clients a broader range of services. Since the acquisition, Reflect Digital has doubled in size.

 

Daryll Scott, Director of Human Technology at LAB Group, was named as Co-Chair of BIMA’s new Human Insights council in February of this year.
